Trades I already work with

  • Pest Control
  • HVAC
  • Hardscaping
  • Concrete

Now expanding to electrical, landscaping, plumbing, remodeling, and other home service trades.

What I do

Four ways I help contractors make more and work less

Software Optimization & Automation

Get more out of the software you already pay for, and stop doing by hand what it can do for you.

  • GorillaDesk, Payzerware, FieldPulse, QuickBooks, and more
  • Service templates and pricing setup
  • Scheduling, invoicing, and automated reminders
  • Automated reports
  • AI-assisted workflows

Pricing & Profitability

Know what every job has to cost to cover your overhead and leave a real net profit.

  • Overhead and break-even analysis
  • Billable labor rates and payroll burden
  • Markup vs. margin
  • Flat-rate and service-package pricing
  • Finding underpriced services

Estimating & Job Tracking

Faster, more consistent estimates, and a clear record of how each one compared with what actually happened.

  • Estimating templates and programs
  • Scope-of-work templates
  • Estimated vs. actual job costing
  • Labor-hour and material tracking
  • Profit by job and service type

Custom Software & Tools

Simple programs built around how your company actually runs, not a generic system you have to work around.

  • Excel and Google Sheets estimating programs
  • Pricing and overhead calculators
  • Job-tracking systems and material databases
  • Dashboards and profitability reports
  • Custom web and Python tools

Gross profit vs. net profit

Gross profit isn't what you keep.

Most contractors know their gross profit. Far fewer know their net profit: what's left after insurance, trucks, office staff, software, and every non-billable hour. The gap between the two is often huge, and it's where busy companies quietly lose money.

I studied computational mathematics and understand accounting thoroughly. I'll make sure your overhead is built into every price, so every job you take actually makes a net profit.

Find out what you really keep

Example job Illustration only

Job price
$10,000
Labor & materials
−$6,000
Gross profit
$4,000 40%
Overhead share
−$2,800
Net profit
$1,200 12%

A "40% job" can leave 12% after overhead. If overhead isn't priced in, it can leave less than zero.

How I work

Small projects for anyone. Strategy for one company per market.

Open to any contractor

Projects

One-off projects for contractors of any size. These don't involve my pricing methods, so I can take them on for anyone.

  • Software optimization and setup
  • Automations and reporting
  • Estimating templates and programs
  • Custom tools and spreadsheets

One company per market

Pricing & strategy partnerships

My pricing strategies are my own, and I don't hand them to everyone. For pricing and profitability work, I won't work with your direct competitors in your market.

  • Pricing strategy and overhead recovery
  • Profitability analysis by job and service
  • Ongoing estimated-vs.-actual review
  • A long-term working relationship

About

I'm Zachery Dias.

I'm an estimator, cost analyst, and programmer. I work with pest control, HVAC, hardscaping, and concrete companies, so I know how contractors actually operate.

I've helped multiple companies optimize their software and restructure their pricing strategy. I've also helped with marketing and automation, built estimating templates and estimating programs, and prepared estimates across trades.

I've been doing mathematical programming since 2012 and have read over a dozen books on running home service businesses. I've taught calculus at UMass Dartmouth and algebra at Wentworth Institute of Technology, so I'm used to explaining hard numbers in plain language and training people on new systems.

Net profit ↑

An HVAC company's monthly net profit rose substantially after I redesigned their pricing around real overhead.

I can also help with

  • Marketing & ad analysis
  • Google Local Service Ads
  • Budgeting
  • Bookkeeping organization
  • Customer processes
  • Workflow improvements
